      To me punk is about playing out of bounds & talent is only necessary for making money, not fun.
      …although, being in a punk band might be fuel on a stress & anxiety fire.

      Listen to upbeat music favorites and bathe or shower more often than you already do, even if it’s just a quick nudie rinse. Low effort… Low cost… don’t have to even leave the dwelling….

    Run fast. Really, really, fast. Wait for the hurt. Collapse. Enjoy the rush of endorphins.

    Do you paint or draw? I love scribbling random shit throughout the day – kind of a mental reset. I think you could attack a canvas with a paint brush. Oh, or clay or something. Knead the shit out of that fucking clay for what it did to you! None of these require the talent of any kind. People feed on artist expression – even if it is just stick figures.

    Or yea. Scream.

    A lot of really good responses from the group!

    Stress is like a ball of energy inside of you. It happens because so many things in life trigger our fight or flight response that in ancient times served us quite well: but work against civilized life.

    But that energy was never meant to be held onto and stored up. The trick is to release it as constructively as possible; so it doesn’t become destructive inside of us.

    So take that energy and go do something with it. Something meaningful, something silly, something recreational.

    I learned this from a reiki Master. Some people may roll their eyes at that, but i have learned that it actually works really well. They are called switch words. When you are having repetitive anxious thoughts, say the word “cancel” internally. Keep saying the word “cancel” in your mind everytime the repetitive negative or anxious thoughts arise. For overall physical and emotional wellbeing, do the same with the word, “be”.
