I’ve been trying to contact him for over 2 months by phone, e-mail etc . . . with no luck. His home was right in the path.

Anyone with facebook etc want to take a try at finding him?

    No, but he hadn’t been around here long before Harvey hit. Dang, you are right; I hope he and his family is OK.

    I also haven’t seen @halfbreed aka: @fletch since the fires in California. He lived near where those fires raged, and wiped out neighborhoods. I sent him a private message and never heard back. He was responsive to me in the past, so I am worried about him.

    Good thoughts for both of these men and their families.

      @Gina
      It’s more than just “around here”.
      He and I have enjoyed a regular if sporadic e-mail and phone correspondence. I’d like to think he’s just too extra-busy to answer phones and e-mails.

      But I’m concerned.

    Good thoughts and prayers go out to both. I thought Fletch blocked me. I know he did not like me, so I took it in stride. Now, I worry that he did live in the fire area.

    As for @Thomas, he had access to trucks and whatever it takes to move his family out of the danger, but I have not heard from him.

    By the way, where is @Jear77???? I miss him. as well. I hope that he is OK. He was taking care of parents. His parents were not circling the drain, but they are looking at the drain a lot. Did he move out and back towards Chicago? Chicago is dangerous. There is a ban of guns, which means that only the bad guys, killers, and robbers have the guns. The law abiding have no way to defend themselves. I worry about @Jear77.

      He was threatening to block me, and I thought this was all that had happened. His posts of late had an increasing “vexation” to them, perhaps echoing his real-life situation.

      I wouldn’t worry too much about Chicago and guns. It is a frequent destination for my trucking and I spend a lot of time there. It doesn’t register as any better or worse than most other US major cities.
      Ones with no common-sense restrictions often tend to be far hairier. More than once I’ve had to start up my truck and “get the hell out of Dodge” because random intercity gunfire reached a level of threat I was not comfortable with. No load is worth getting hit in my sleeper by random gunfire over just so America can pay homage to it’s Gun-God.

      The fear of “no guns” is just part of an agenda-driven echo-chamber — totally overlooking the fact that nations with common-sense gun restrictions enjoy profoundly reduced levels of violent crime over the US.

    I’ve heard from @Jear77, I checked in on him last week because I hadn’t seem him around. He’s okay. I guess he’s just been busy and he said that being online was a bit of distraction for him and he needed to put his focus on some other things for the time being.

    But I didn’t realize that @thomas lived in the path of Harvey. I think I only have his email and his contact here – any luck finding him on facebook?

    I think @halfbreed lived in Southern Cal so he should be okay, he drops off every now and again. But hopefully he’ll be back soon.

        @Spitfire3dC
        Good point.
        I’m not even sure of his full name myself, or even his address in Galveston.

        But having been there once I could probably find it again if I was physically there.
