Well,…. seriously, after I dried my seeds out for my garden and then planted all that I was going to plant, I would take the extra seeds to the dirt strip by the riverbed. I would plant the seeds one foot apart along the fencing. The tomatoes were most popular. The homeless people living under the over passes and along the river could enjoy the tomatoes and other vegetables as they grew.
I do not have an easy answer for this, but I know a large portion of the homeless are mentally ill. So I think having resources available for that are a good place to start. At the end of the day, I think it takes collaboration though. Those that are mentally ill and homeless have to collaborate with the resources to be able to get off the streets. Some never agree to any treatments. I believe mental illness is on a spectrum. Those that collaborate with resources and have some willingness have a better shot at not being homeless. I do believe we have a responsibility to make the resources available even to those who don’t have funds to pay for them.
so not coming up with a solution and making fun of the homeless is fun for you?
