Flags at half staff. The US should just leave them there, or hang them up-side-down.

Doesn’t get much heavier than that. I hope you’re holding up my friend.

@Spitfire3dC I am hanging in there. The results of our election from Tuesday got me to say, “I feel Hopeful” for the first time in a year. In regards to gun violence, hope is not there; except I am starting to see people…like country music stars, start to speak up about sane gun control. I know, depending on celebrities to guide our communication is dumb, but that’s ‘Merica for you in a nutshell.

@Gina re gun control…have you seen the thing currently floating around on FB

Isn’t it strange how mental illness hardly massacres anyone in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Watching that video you put on had me thinking about using the love for guns as an indicator that gun lovers should be checked out as potential domestic abusers. If one thing is tied to the other; it can be used both ways.

@Spitfire3dC And I know you must have domestic abusers, who don’t kill as often as ours do. One thing is a factor, you have health care for all. The US has a whole lot of really unhealthy people who own guns.

@Gina I have really tried to figure out why there is such a huge disparity in the numbers when for all intents and purposes the citizens of our nations are so similar.

There is one obvious difference, the number of guns, and although that is a considerable contributor, I think it has to go beyond that. The thing that seems to be reinforced by the domestic abuse issue is the fact that you have a nation of citizens that, like a domestic abuser, deeply believe at their core that they do not need to earn respect, because they feel entitled to it.

History has delivered a truly great nation, but now people are riding the curve. People who do nothing take credit for the performance of others. A total loser disregards his/her performance strictly on basis of being American. And why not? That’s what you get told repeatedly by your media, your politicians, your friends and neighbours.

The smart ones understand this. The stupid dim witted morons do not and feel entitled to bully others as a way to feel personal value by trying to make others look stupid, so by comparison they feel better when they look in a mirror.

Most of these morons are men because you get this machismo issue factoring in.

I think this is what is at the core of the mass murder issue. Dumb asses that don’t think they are getting their due, so they lash out in the way a coward would. The same way some limp dick jerk off chooses to beat his wife because he can’t get it up.

@Spitfire3dC I would like to look at our country’s gun laws side by side, and I still believe your nation is healthier because of your health care system. Unhealthy people are stressed, and stressed people don’t always do the right thing.
