And would you even want that?

I would think humans would look to create immortality at any chance they got. There are those that already don’t believe in it and those that just rather not take the chance. Some just love power so much that they’d want to rule for as long as possible. As for me, no. There would have to be some other very particular things that I would need as well to accept that. It goes into crazy fantasy crap, so it just doesn’t even matter.

@Yin I agree. Humans create everything under the sun that they believe will bring them comfort. I wonder if there is anything that would bring us true comfort, though. I think most of the things we create are just short term fixes.

Doesn’t stuff like Cryogenics do this? Trying to create an immortality?

I simply cannot believe that this is it, we just fade away. Our existence (us here on Earth, with the exception of @immortal_pirate) are just a blip in history, but a blip nonetheless.

We are all immortal. Pirate is more cognizant of it. Maybe he’s living more of a LUCID LIFE?

I’d love to discuss prior and future lives with @immortal_pirate one day.

@Santa Bunny A more lucid life…I like that, I like the sound of that. Perhaps that is the best way to explain it…Lucid Life.
In the grand scheme of things, 258,764 years is just a tock on the chronograph of the universe.

Tick vs. tock: If you observe the internal workings of a mechanical clock, the “tick” is the movement of the clockwork advancing forward, the “tock” is the action that locks that advancement in place, preventing it from reversing. Ever forward, don’t look back. But there are some of us with the innate ability to move in multiple directions through time…
always cognizant of the ramifications associated with traveling to the past. Like a physician whose oath is to ‘do no harm’, the rule is simple, preserve the time line…do nothing in the past that will alter the present or future. We learned this rule the hard way many eons ago, through mistakes that in one time line, Hitler and the Nazi’s won WW2 and it plunged your world into a vile darkness that had to be corrected, at great personal cost to many of us who possess the ability to move backward in time.
What came of that final correction is the Chronometric Accordance, a treatise between our kind that forever prevents tampering with history for personal gain. Adherence to the accord guarantees our continued immortality. Anyone who breaks rank from said accord are consigned to absolute oblivion, forever erased from existence.

The “after-life” does exist. Call it what you will, heaven, nirvana, the great reward, or the great beyond…it is real, but it is not a physical plain, it is in fact a spiritual plain.

We are the Watchers…we observe, we do not interfere.

Perhaps this will say it clearly for those willing to listen…

Perhaps other people would try to write their name in history.

I wouldn’t. I use my life’s efforts making my own life comfortable. If there is a “What-comes-next” for us, I would leave this life in the dust and hurry to the next plain. If there is reincarnation, I won’t have much of a memory of who I am today. Most people cannot recall anything of their last life. Perhaps something comes into the next life, like a fear of water, or natural knowing of perils that could have caused death in a past life.

There has been record of a child here and there that had memories of a past life. A boy who swore he was a pilot in WWII and shot down over the ocean. He recalled most everything of a life that could be looked up in history and pictures. It was amazing. Then, there was a girl that recalled her family of her last life. They visited that family and she knew facts that astounded everyone.

I believe that there is more after this life.

I have actually seen evidence for the after-life, so I can not answer this question.

I saw a man transfigure into “one like a son of man”, which description perfectly fit the description of the “Angel of Jesus” in the Book of Revelation.

I may be the only human alive who has seen such evidence.

It is… difficult to hide such evidence.

One of my major life stresses. Secrets.
