sounds kinda boring… what, set up an interest bearing account for hundreds or thousands of years? or could this include something else?

@five2one “sole purpose” not able to so anything else would be kinda… stupid. You can’t experience the time, the food, the culture, the famous people, the ordinary folk.

@Jear77 I am sure Scarlett meant to obtain these reactions. Whether unconsciously, or consciously. I watch a lot of sci fi dealing with time travel – re-watched the twilight zone episode just yesterday on this topic – so, I already have a formed opinion.

Who’s to say I haven’t already done that? The only problem with time travel is avoiding the “Grandfather Paradox”. I won’t bore you with the specifics of it, you can look it up for yourself. I can only caution you against making temporal incursions for personal gains. Actions have consequences…
Go back in time to kill Adolf Hitler when he was an infant, and a different monster is born to take his place and cause an even worse tyrant to emerge.
Go back in time to profit financially, and something you do causes a market crash that creates a financial collapse worse than the great depression of 1929.
    Extreme actions have extreme consequences…
Even small actions can have extreme consequences. That’s called the butter fly effect…don’t go there. It’s harder to fix history because of the mistakes you make trying to make a buck by going back to the past. Been there, fucked that up…

@immortal_pirate we really don’t know the grandfather paradox is true… because we don’t truly have the ability to travel back in time. We also don’t know if we kill one monster another will take its place, as we haven’t done so… or maybe we have. Consider EVERY abortion that has ever been done. For every would be mass murderer that we stopped as a fetus, do we have statistical evidence others take their place? If so how?

      @immortal_pirate
There was a TV series in the 80s about a time-traveling pirate who would fix up errors in history so it unfolded as it was supposed to.

      Was that you?

(It was from Scholastic Entertainment and imho was a good experiment in more noble use of a rather mindless entertainment media. I learned and retained more about history in one season than I did in several years at school.
So of course the network had to put a kibosh on it after just one season!)

@griz I believe your referring to a show called Voyager’s, starring the late actor John Eric Hexum, who sadly took his own life with a blank pistol to his temple at the height of his career. Yeah, I corrected history in the manner depicted in that T.V. show, where do you think they got the idea from…

        Yea, that was the one.

I still marvel that one enjoyable hour once a week for one year taught me more about history then years of public in high school history that I was forced to endure.

Actually I think it was the teachers that forced the network to cancel it because it was showing them up!

Money? Lol… No, I go back in time in my memories or visions to see people. If I could go back in time, I would happily spend my days roving as an invisible spirit (something not unknown to me), across time, to see ‘what really happened’ and ‘who really are these people’. My mind and heart often travel to distant and not so distant places in the past.

The Egyptian Kingdom when it was just a village…. Peru, thousands of years BC. (Modern dating is not as people think it is… it is inaccurate in many places. As is their view in many places.)

Jim Morrison and Pamela Courson, I have a lot of questions about them and their life.

It really isn’t about “questions”, though. It is about seeing people, being amazed at them, or wondering, or appreciating them.

‘Video killed the radio star’… ‘Player One’…

I hope, at some point in time, I can actually do that. That the whole world could do it. Watch the real movies.

Being a spirit is with the default ability of being able to fly around the earth, you are like a camera which is invisible. Really it would not be fun without being able to assume human form and tell them things they could never know. But, that would mess up the timeline, presumably. I tend to not think so. While it is likely true, bodies of light should be able to travel back or forwards in time, or teleport… I do not think this is something which is often allowed right now.

And, I do not think that you could create separate timelines.

But, it certainly seems like it should be possible.

Just not something I have enough evidence on.

In which case, I did answer your question, but I am not interested in physical money, but spiritual gold. Having all the information I have now, and surely – God willing – have in the future… wow. I could do so, so much with the past.

Though, maybe someone already did this, and everything is just exactly perfect as it is…

I’d go back to July 20th, 2018 and buy a Mega Millions ticket with the numbers of 44-14-30-62-1 with a Mega Ball of 1.
