• This is funny.

Look, Squirrel. My wife just got home about 20 minutes ago. She was bringing my son home from working since 7am. He has been landscaping for a local electrician, and he’s making money.

    He’s 12.

He has also been building sheds, cleaning stables, moving rocks, digging holes. He can’t find enough work to do. Loves…[Read more]

Guns are meant to kill things, but the opinion you offer is that the things meant to kill things are only in the hands of the people who lead you.

Seeing as how throughout all of recorded history leaders oppress the people under them, why would you want the only people who have the things meant to kill in the hands of the people over…[Read more]

    That’s not an argument.

In a previous thread you talk about banning stuff, this guy is a subject matter expert who discusses it. He presents an argument.

Thus far you haven’t presented an argument on why citizens shouldn’t have AK-47 and AR-15’s, or high capacity magazines, etc.

Is it just because you’re legally prohibited…[Read more]

lol, it’s actually a real situation, that’s currently in court.

What in the video is incorrect?

Also, the question of the topic is, “Does banning semi-automatic rifles make sense?”

Answer the question, and substantiate your answer.

            • @Weenis

my VERY simple opinion is this –

              1. guns are meant to kill things.
              2. the more guns that are around, the more killing there will be.
              3. i don’t think we need anymore killing.

there. i wont argue with you, you know more about guns and gun laws and gun violence and gun dealing and gun ownership and gun safety and gun cleaning and gun practice and gun colors and gun brands, etc :unamused:

The founders of our country understood this, which is why they penned the second amendment.

Also, I reject your second premise. I have a lot of guns. They’ve never killed anyone.

There is no logical correlation between more guns and more killing.

As i’ve pointed out over and over again, since the 70’s gun crime has decreased per capita, while the number of guns has steadily increased.

All the data we have available to us would suggest that your cute little “more guns, more killing” is unsubstantiated nonsense.

    • @Weenis good for you!

          • @Tits McGee

            Not an argument.

          • @Tits McGee After reading down that list, I stood in front of our gun cabinet and dared one of our guns to kill me. I stood there for a long time. I even insulted the guns, trying to get them angry. None of the guns killed me. None of our guns has ever shot a human, nor killed anyone. I am still alive because guns don’t kill. A human loading the gun, aiming it, and pulling the trigger has the ability to make the gun kill. That might happen with the need to defend ones self, or in anger. With all of the millions of guns around, if guns were the problem then there wouldn’t be any humans left on the planet. The guns would have shot everyone. Guns are not the problem. Angry humans with mental illness are the problem.

    • Does banning semi-automatic rifles make sense?

    • Because I can…

    • Why we have the right to keep and bear arms…if the government was the only ones to have them, there would be no liberty…and a lot more killings.

    • *Does permitting them to anyone other than extra national military operations and swat teams make sense?

Ask Australia’s gun violence rate and see how well your semis stop violence.

    • I have a Ruger

      • @ladybarbara one has a collapsible stock with expanded ammo for more killing and stealth

        • @Squirrel

That’s not the point. The point is, they’re all actually the same firearm.

          • @Weenis then ban huge cartridges for civilians.

            • @Squirrel

As the video points out, the vast majority of all firearm deaths are with handguns. Handguns don’t have huge cartridges anyway.

So again, you’re attempting to pass a law that has no logical evidence of doing anything, and punishes law abiding citizens.

              • @Weenis the vast majority of firearm deaths are also suicides. The vast majority of shooting sprees are also not the vast majority of firearms deaths. Massacres will occur more seldom with smaller cartridges I think. Got any actual evidence to the contrary?

                • @Squirrel

                  Can’t prove a negative.

I can’t prove it will decrease or increase, and you’re in the same boat.

What we do know is why the 2nd amendment was put in place, and why we have the guns we do, and the individual in the video points it out. The 2nd amendment is in place to protect citizens from tyranny. Plain and simple. We have guns, to fight tyrants.

Whether it increases or decreases firearm deaths, or “mass shootings” etc is irrelevant.

                  • @Weenis in this case you can do an observational study to look for an effect size. You could also try it and find out. Do states that ban expanded magazines have lower spree shooting rates? It’s possible to find out, albeit hard.

Blah blah blah, this is a test. I know nothing about guns or how to do gun studies. Or expanded magazines and shooting sprees.

    • “Banning” anything makes no sense. Control is the key word here. We can’t control what people will do with guns so we have to control access to them. If you aren’t in the military you have no need for a semi-automatic weapon. No one NEEDS a semi-automatic weapon to survive. The thing to do is control they type of firearms that can be purchased and used by the general public.

    • @Weenis the people will still be armed and I’m all in favor of removing the 2nd ammendment.

      • @Squirrel

lol, but you’re a leaf, so your opinion on the matter is about as meaningful to the discussion as Bernie’s regarding basic economics.

        • @Weenis and it’s a horrible thing to be a leaf? Some of bernie’s policies make sense like the mutliplier effect and some don’t, like universal healthcare. what is it about me that makes you think none of my opinions hold water anyway? I’m a human being just like you and have feelings.

          • @Squirrel

            “your opinion on the matter”

Matter = Second amendment, which you’re in favor of removing.

So yes, your opinion on the second amendment is meaningless.

    • YOU GUYS GOT ME

      MORE GUNS!!
      MORE KILLING!!
      MORE DETAINING ILLEGALS!!!
      MORE GUNS DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!

      WE JUST NEED MORE GUNS

    • @weenis @immortalpirate @ladybarbara

      LET’S GO FULLY AUTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FUCK THIS SEMI SHIT – FULL FUCKING AUTOMATIC

      WE NEEEEEEED THESE

      WHY WOULD THAT BE BAD?

      • @Tits McGee Because, every lady carrying would have to buy a larger purse. A big machine gun and bands of rounds would be cumbersome and heavy.

As is, in Arizona, most everyone has a gun. Any criminal in the act of wrong-doing is aware that there are guns wherever there are people. Lets say that 20 guns get pulled and aimed at that criminal to hold the wrong-doer in place, until the police come to handle the matter. The wrong-doer knows to stop because to continue will get him shot. Most times, not one shot will be fired —– not even one. No matter how many shots could be shot per second, not shooting is the same. It is stopping the threat by a show of a threat. It would not matter if a trigger pull could cut the wrong-doer in half. Not shooting is not shooting. But the wrong-doer doesn’t know if there is one trigger happy fool in the crowd. ——– “Do you feel lucky, Punk? Well, do you?”

    • This is my take on the whole thing.

  • @ladybarbara

By refusing the service, isn’t the worker being bigoted toward the trans community? Isn’t the worker not validating or affirming the experience and feelings of the trans individual?

If a trans woman, who is now a man, gets pregnant and has a baby, the news says “The world’s first pregnant man has a baby”. If the world looks at…[Read more]

  • Should a waxing professional be forced to offer the same services for a trans man who identifies as a woman, as they currently offer to women? Namely, a Brazilian wax?

    • I don’t believe that a professional waxer, that has a business waxing only females, should have to wax the balls and pubic area of a male that identifies as a woman. It still has male genitals and the professional waxer objected to handling male genitals. I can understand how she could find that offensive. I think it was too bad that she could not simply refuse to do it, rather than having to give up her business altogether.

If the world looks at that and says, “That’s a woman, men can’t have babies,” then that comment is labeled hate speech.

How is this situation not similar? How is the worker’s refusal not a hateful action?

        • @Weenis Perhaps it is a hateful action. However, if the waxist does not want to handle male genitals, she should be free to have her own feelings about it. It is an awful situation that she was in. Having to get out of the business just to stand firm on her dislike of the situation is very sad. Here in America there is freedom of speech and freedom to be offended. A business should not be forced to perform an act —- slathering hot wax on male balls and pressing cloth in the hot wax and quickly ripping out all the hair, if they find it offensive. The business owner has a right to her feelings, even if her feelings seem hateful. We have freedom of speech, even hate speech.

          • @ladybarbara I shouldn’t be forced to procure services from a monopoly funding politics I believe adversely affect the world. Break up Amazon and ISPs to stop funding the NRA and FISA bullshit. A business should have every right to deny a baha’I organization services based on ideology right? And I have every right to deny emergency repair services to a church because it refuses to marry the LGBTQA community? How would you feel if the waxing professional is male and is only handling female genitalia out of perversion and avoiding balls out of homophobia? Do we want to promote perverse motivations for occupations? And no, freedom of speech does not cover hate speech scofflaw judiciary picker.

            • @Squirrel This is America where we have the freedom to believe as we believe and to be homophobic if we are homophobic. The case before the court is a WOMAN that does not want to give service to a male pretending to be a female. There is no “what if”.

        • @Weenis

LOLOLOLOL – THE CONVERSATIONS YOU ARE HAVING

          KIND OF EMBARASSING

          YEA – ‘WHAT IF…………..’

          • @Tits McGee

lol, it’s actually a real situation, that’s currently in court.

            • @Weenis

              OH REALLY? WOW!!!

              STILL, NO ONE CARES….

EXCEPT SCARLLET, STINKYWIND AND THE DESERT PIRATE – and your FOX & Friends

            • @Weenis and you think my balls don’t deserve waxing? Honestly my primary concern is the jerk doing a shitty job and making my balls infected and itchy. Malicious compliance is still compliance. Even if it’s legal the waxist doesn’t have to do a good job and can express their bigoted disapproval with performance. You don’t have to wax his balls, he doesn’t have to repair your church or fund bigots with his dollar. Have you ever considered the world would be a better place if transfolk were treated as the human beings they are instead of as subhuman freaks as pariahs less touchable than ’80s AIDS patients? Trans women of color are the demographic most likely to die of homicide and are the group most victimized by hate crimes. Maybe letting them get balls waxed will humanize them enough that they’ll feel validated enough not to remain the leading demographic for suicide as well? Namaste to you bigot.

    • what about buttholes?

can i get my butthole waxed, perhaps colored, without being rejected as a straight white male?

      thanks in advance

    • Professional waxers already do men numbskull. Have you gotten one done on your forehead to fit in with those skinheads your ideology runs with?

  • Sounds like you’re asking if religion is a crutch necessary for humanity to thrive? It’s a question without any possible answer.

The real issue is around the fact that we’re all religious, whether we like it or not. The important question is; what is the god of our religion?

  • @Tits McGee

When our ancestors got here, and when people discuss Ellis Island, we didn’t have social programs.

People couldn’t come here and be a drag on society.

When people used to come here, they would sell all they owned. They would sell their business, they would come here with cash and skills, and start a business.
