1)what makes you feel sensual? so many things. nature, mostly. the waterways and the trees. the cosmos. looking at the sky inside the lake. humans, sometimes. fingertips and warm hugs. deep conversations, entering a state of flow in conversation with another. that is what I love the mostest.
    2) what attracts you most to others? Brains or beauty? I think it is a beautiful mind!
    3) when people come to you for help, what do they want help with? Human behavior, relationships, share sorrow. My son comes to me for help with food.
    4) what is it like to be you? it is soooo weird. the best way I can describe it is that I wake up, and ideas start spilling out of my half mistaken brain. It is half mistaken because all my life I have heard messages from the world, other people, media, and it is hard to tease out which messages are true, if any. I often think about thinking. to be me is to be introverted, enjoy solitude, find comfort in piano music and books, it is to love deeply, to live gratefully, and to be concerned with being loved in this life.
    5) is my awareness the same as your awareness? I do not know the answer to this. I would say my awareness switches back and forth between autopilot and being aware and awake.
    6) are you doing anything currently to raise your awareness? if so, what is it? I feel like there are different kinds of awareness. I think I try to raise my self awareness by attending therapy, and thinking about thinking. I raise my social awareness by attending graduate school, and pondering the question, what exactly is a just society? I raise my awareness of others by paying attention, trying to listen actively.
    7) if you could master any instrument, which one would it be? I would choose the large wooden music box.
    8) do you trust your government? negative.
9)If you could change something about your brain, what would you change? I would change the negative messages that don’t serve me or anyone else, and I can change it, I do, and I will!
    10) if you had the opportunity to earn a PhD completely Paid for, would you do it? What subject would you choose? Yes, I would do it! I would study a human behavior field, social work, or psychologyto find out more about what makes us humans such strange creatures, and how to influence us to create a more peaceful existence.

) what makes you feel sensual?—- Being in my garden and working with the plants. Looking at the sky and feeling small. The touch of my lover’s hands.

    2) what attracts you most to others? Brains or beauty? —- Neither brains, nor beauty, common sense attracts me more than anything else, and then having a sense of humor.

    3) when people come to you for help, what do they want help with? —- My cousin comes to me most for help. She usually needs a sounding board to talk to for a few hours (non-stop, and I cannot fit a word in edgewise.) From carefully listening to her, I become her defender when her mother (my Aunt Kay) starts bad-mouthing and backbiting her daughter. My opinion of my cousin is very high and no one is allowed to make up shit about her. When there is an insurmountable task, like cleaning up my Aunt Kay’s house and putting it on the market and selling it, I become my cousin’s “housecleaning and repair expert”. I work tirelessly for her. Time has come to put Aunt Kay in a care facility and to clear, clean, and sell her house. I will be there for my cousin Sue-Sue once again. It will be a huge task, but we will get it done.

    4) what is it like to be you? —- I am shy and introverted. I take others as they are, because it is not my job to change them. I can only change myself. I have a switch inside and at the sign of a clashing of the minds, my switch turns the other person off, and I go about my life without them. I don’t waste my time on arguments. I have my ways and I like my ways. I don’t believe in nagging a man. Everyone has their own way of doing things and he will do the thing I asked when he gets around to it. He will do it his way and I will help as he leads us through the task. As in dancing and life, it works out better if the man leads.

    5) is my awareness the same as your awareness? —- No. Ever since @Chantarella bit you in the neck and verbally chewed on your face on SoulPancake, you have been inwardly self-inspecting. Even though the thing she called you out on was not true and if it was, it was what makes you dear to our hearts. When it hurt you, it hurt us, as well. When @Chantarella bit me in the neck and ate my face, I did cry, then my friends told me she was full of shit and that I was doing fine. I simply turned her off (with my inner magic switch) and she no longer existed in my bubble world. That is the difference between you and I.

    6) are you doing anything currently to raise your awareness? if so, what is it? — Trying to lose weight. I dress up to match Immortal Pirate’s outfit of the day and sometimes my outfit is so frilly. I catch a look of us together and think he looks like the parade and I look like the parade float following him.

    7) if you could master any instrument, which one would it be? — perhaps the guitar. Immortal Pirate made me a very pretty pink guitar and my fingers do not want to co-operate with the strings.

    8) do you trust your government? —- No, not the “Swamp”and the George Soros funded Swamp members. I do trust our President.

9)If you could change something about your brain, what would you change? — I have had cerebral palsy most of my adult life. About 4 years ago, I went through stem-cell treatments and my muscle control returned. It rewired the connections between brain and muscles. However, the old connections are still there. Occasionally, I will suddenly be in full body pain and the tremors return. I have to force myself to move right, until the new connections take over and I am OK again. I would like the old brain to muscle connections to go away.

    10) if you had the opportunity to earn a PhD completely Paid for, would you do it? What subject would you choose? —- At the age of 71, I am happy with what I know and am too involved with the enjoyment of retirement. However, if Immortal Pirate would want to start a business, I would want a refresher course in bookkeeping and tax laws.

@ladybarbara I wonder what ever happened to chantarella? that is a cute way to describe it, the parade and the float! I wonder what ever happened to chantarella? It sounds like you are in a nice place of retirement! We learned in class that at this stage in the life course, you are trying to solve the crisis of ego integrity versus despair. It seems like you are both at peace with how your lives have turned out. I’m happy for you.

    1) I guess the things that make me feel alive. Like, standing in light rain. Hearing a good music beat or a beautiful voice. Seeing works of art or photography that leaves me speechless.

    2) Hard to say. I guess it is one of those things where I show up for the beauty but stay for the brains? That sounds like someone who got turned into a zombie at a fashion show, though… I am definitely most attracted to looks right out of the gate, but after that initial hit, it is the brains, the opinions, the ideas one has.

    3) Usually computer stuff, like trying to hook up a modem or get the wifi running. People, especially family, think I know a lot about computers and whatnot. That just isn’t the case. Google tends to have most of my answers, as long as I can even understand them myself.

    4) A no life who is plagued with fear and worry. I’m even somewhere around 5’5. So, a chihuahua basically.

    5) Can’t really answer if I don’t know yours, or even mine for that matter.

    6) Again, not really sure what it is, so hard to say. Maybe that is the thing that lead to me being an antinatalist. Can’t really say much has changed about it since I hit that conclusion.

    7) Part of me wants to say guitar due to how successful, or profitable, I could be. Part of me wants to say violin because I love what Lindsey Stirling does. I think I may have to go with piano though since it is my favorite stand alone instrument. Like, guitars tend to need bands. Violins are nice with pianos or, what Lindsey Stirling does, dubstep and other electronic music. Piano, you can use with others or do so many good pieces alone. Maybe you can do that with guitar and violin, but I just don’t see it done as much, personally.

    8) If I trust the people that make up the government, I would trust it for the most part. As we stand right now, not even a little.

    9) How I react to situations. I know we talked about anger recently, but I am thinking more of social interactions. I’d love for them to be more comfortable. Or, I’d love it if I actually wanted them. Or, maybe I’d like my brain to be creative. While still won’t be good at social situations, I could potential be somewhat successful if I was a creative person. Yea, I’d go with that one.

    10) Not sure I’d pursue it. Another brain issue of despising school and just not having the attention span to go through it anymore. The issues I have of needing to reread nearly everything, whether it is to understand it since I didn’t the first four times or I need to make sure I wrote/typed what I wanted without mistakes. Like, I read the words, but they just don’t click as thoughts. My brain says the words but doesn’t make anything more out of it. So, I have to try it over and over. Once I make it through, good luck on if I remember some of the details within it. This is why I don’t read books, lol. It is a hassle, frustrating, and I hate it.

      @Yin
we had a good spring rain here just last night. I like the scent.
if you like piano music, you should try listening to max Richter- the blue notebooks.
I disagree with you completely that you are not creative. I see you as much differently than you see you. It may be the case that you are an extremely introvert. I know many people like that.
As to the reading, when I was younger, I was like that, too. It has all changed now, though. maybe it will change for you, as well.

@Scarlett The scent can go either way here. There are times where it is the best thing in the world. Others, well… There is an oxidation pond right outside my trailer. Sometimes, it doesn’t smell so great especially after a rain. Will look up Max when I get the chance. As it stands currently, Philip Wesley may be my favorite. Thank you for the optimism. Hope I can see that of myself one day.

) what makes you feel sensual?
    Tequila

    2) what attracts you most to others? Brains or beauty?
    Generosity of themselves

    3) when people come to you for help, what do they want help with?
How to most effectively express themselves. I get paid to do that.

    4) what is it like to be you?
    Tiring. I bore myself

    5) is my awareness the same as your awareness?
Probably not. The person you are is the result of what you have experienced and I’m pretty sure that the thing we have in common is that we know the other is different.

    6) are you doing anything currently to raise your awareness? if so, what is it?
I am trying to raise my awareness by not sweating the details. I am trying to lighten up and let the simple rule.

    7) if you could master any instrument, which one would it be?
Piano, no violin, no cello, no saxaphone, no guitar…ok…piano…no

    8) do you trust your government?
Not really, but I’d rather have ours than yours.

9)If you could change something about your brain, what would you change?
I’d combine the left and right to create a hybrid both.

    10) if you had the opportunity to earn a PhD completely Paid for, would you do it?
No, because the pursuit of academic education takes time away from really learning through experience.

What subject would you choose? If I had to choose, I’d take a Phd in ice cream. There is nothing bad about ice cream, but TOO MUCH knowledge is usually dangerous.

@Spitfire3dC it seems like you are in creative flow with what you have chosen as a career. I think thats the best we can hope for in our career choices, and makes us better at serving others.
when I was young and earning my bsw, I have to admit, I learned more from the experiences after college than during. now that I am in a different stage of life, I find it interesting to read and discuss and learn what is in the text books. I think if someone is going to pursue formalized education, it is good to examine motives. i like doing this, and cant think of too many better ways to spend the years.
