Yes, definitely. I did some research on this and not only is it not included, but continues to be scorned in some institutions. Gay and lesbian teens have a high suicide rate, and we can be allies by taking a stand on this very thing. I think that laws need to be passed to provide this information in the schools. Anything less is discriminatory and non inclusive. Homosexuality is a fact of life. Science has proven it isn’t a choice, and a great many people fall on a spectrum.

See, this is one of them things that I never really ever thought about but I’d be for it. I just question what exactly is taught in it that isn’t in what they teach now, but I’m totally down. Honestly, I forget most of what we were taught. I remember a discussion about being careful because someone may poke a hole in the condom and at some point I vomited. Man, I really don’t take detailed sexual talk well… Had an issue during a discussion about testicular cancer once as well. I’m broken, lol.

    It should, as all should.

    It won’t.

    But it should.

We included it in our children’s home school curriculum.

We told them same sex attraction is sinful and deviant behavior. Same with boys who pretend to be girls, and girls who pretend to be boys.

    End of chapter.

So the cycle of hate continues. Well done.

      So we’re different colours
      And we’re different creeds
And different people have different needs
      It’s obvious you hate me
      Though I’ve done nothing wrong
      I never even met you
So what could I have done

      I can’t understand
      What makes a man
      Hate another man
      Help me understand

      I bet you’re an anti-vaxer as well.

        @Santa Bunny

        Interesting.

So now you’re calling me a racist? lol. Nope.

Also, I’ve said nothing of hate. I said those acts are sinful and deviant, it says nothing to my how I feel or perceive people.

No, I’m not an “anti-vaxer”, and I have no idea why you would jump to that conclusion.

No, I didn’t mean you’re racist. My general idea was that you teach your kids that others are deviant or sinful just because of their beliefs and without ever knowing who that person is or their ideas. Seems like you’ve pre-judged them already. That leads to hate.

Do you consider your/Stinky’s sons to be deviant and sinful?

@Santa Bunny They are not my sons. No, I don’t believe they are sinful deviants. I don’t really know either of them well enough to make that call, but I know about them only by what Lady Barbara has told me.

Yes, that’s why I included the ‘Stinky’s’ in there.

Anyway, do you believe that the LGBTQ (or whatever they are acronymed now) community are committing deviant and sinful acts while being with their partners?

Not prying, seeing where you draw the line, or if you agree with @Weenis

@Santa Bunny That is between them and God. Where I posted the big red NO, teaching kids about homosexuality or offering it as a viable lifestyle choice is not something the school should be teaching. If anything, school health classes should be teaching abstinence. Choices have rewards and consequences, good choices have rewards and poor choices have consequences.

Obvious results of homosexuality…HIV and AIDS. I’m not going to argue about a persons choices…I’m just stating a fact.

On another thread, it was pointed out that I gifted $10,000.00 to a gay (lesbian) couple to help them buy a house because of an injustice that occurred. They were also co-workers and close friends of mine when I worked at the prison. If I “draw a line”, I do so based on facts not feeling.

@immortal_pirate having token LGBTQA friends do not a non-homophobe make. Abstinence only education leads to teen pregnancies and dysfunctional families. The lack of same sex education is why gay men are at an increased risk of HIV transmission, from a sex act the majority of heterosexual couples are up for engaging in as well I might add. Lesbians are at an especially low risk of sti’s. If it’s about wellness then why not advocate female only relationships so sti’s vanish. What we need to teach is the destruction of the incel movement and the “nice guys” feeling entitled to a sex life. If you want to teach abstinence, teach then how to have safe anal, clitoral stimulation, and that it needs to be a safe and sometimes celebrated thing to say no. And that no shouldn’t be negotiable and up for debate.

@Santa Bunny I have a problem understanding what “sinful” is. When I was Jewish, we did not have a concept of a hell, or Devil — nor judging others as “sinful”. I don’t live my life judging others. In the Baha’i Faith, we also don’t judge others. We also don’t have a belief in a hell or Devil. So, I don’t have bad judgements about other people.

As for sexuality being taught in school —– school is not the place for sexuality. It is learned in life itself.

@Santa Bunny No. One is one of the nicest people on the planet. He is gay, but he doesn’t show it and doesn’t let on at work. He works at a children’s hospital making robotics that help children do things their crippled bodies cannot do. Since he works with children, he keeps his personal life quiet. I rarely hear from him, unless a holiday is coming up and he wants money. The other son spends his life blaming others for his fucked up life of drugs and failing. He never talks to me and I don’t bother to talk to him. He is a grifter and that is why I don’t have him anywhere around me. His being gay has nothing to do with why I don’t talk to him. He finds ways of sucking money out of my bank account. I don’t care about his personal life, or his sex life. He is who he is and he has been that way from birth.

Because I live far away in Arizona, both of my sons use it as an excuse not to visit. So, Immortal Pirate has never met them. When they talk to each other, they refer to Immortal Pirate as the Big Cop that Mom lives with. So, the son who uses drugs will NEVER want to meet him. He is paranoid of Cops.

Yes. As a Christian I continue to be appalled at fake Christians who persecute this fragile population minority.

Jesus taught not to judge, these fake Christians show they are fake, because they do judge. They judge wrongly, and have a narrow mind.

No one’s sexual preference should be the subject of any classroom “curriculum.” You can’t teach/preach who an individual should love according to any master class or dictum. What needs to be taught is “acceptance” and “tolerance.” And it should be taught is social studies or some human nature course.

Yeah but what’s more urgent is mental healthcare, destigmatizing mental illness and the promotion of mental health first aid, boundary formation, and healthy relationships including with family.
