Can you work with your hands to create something of value that enriches your life of the lives of others?

I have been a blacksmith, a tinsmith, a woodwright, a wheelwright, a cooper, and a luthier…and I’ve been known to cobble a shoe or two.

I was a pirate, a warrior, and a mercenary.

Yes, I could grow a garden, if I can figure out the wonky seasons of Arizona. I can cook from scratch, but I wouldn’t hold a candle to your late wife in the kitchen. (She would knock that candle out of my hand and punch me.)

I am good at harvesting seeds to use in heirloom gardening.

I am good at knowing how to remove stains from surfaces.

I have been a waitress of food, cocktail waitress, nude dancer, inspector and cleaner of disk packs, inspector in an electronics firm, Quality Control Manager, “Samples” engineer for electronics — making prototypes. I have learned to program and run an old Cinamax 2000 NC/CNC mill and can even crank handles on an antiquated Bridgport mill, but my parts had stairstep lines because I fall 2 inches short of having the needed 5 foot reach between the crank handles. I ran a house cleaning business for 27 years.
I am a “nurturer” and can take care of someone who is ill and dying.

I love to help you in the workshop and I am amazed at the quality of your crafts. Although, I could never hold a candle to you or your work (you would swat it out of my hands).

I could do the bookkeeping, if you got more serious about creating. and selling your crafts. I took bookkeeping and business classes in college.

I took Business Law, Real Estate Law, Criminal Law, and Criminal Procedures in college —— but I never got into being an actual criminal.

After watching that video, I am reminded of the violins that you made and played.

Hmmm, the only thing I can think of is if you count writing? I send a lot of time writing for my job. The things I write are professional documentation, and they are a result of my work with clients, and the social workers who serve them. We write many things about the services we are linking to, or the counseling we provide for the issues they face. I never have been an arts or crafts person, but I wish I were!

@immortal_pirate THE FUTURE IS NOT HANDMADE, ITS THE PRODUCT OF AI MANUFACTURING. WE CREATE THINGS TO CREATE THINGS FOR US SO WE DONT HAVE TO CREATE THINGS. ROBOTS CAN CREATE ANYTHING. CARS, PHONES, BABIES. THE MACHINE-RUN MATRIX IS HERE. YOUVE GOT TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND THAT IN ALL OF YOUR EVOLUTION’S, NO?
