I tasted a little of Immortal Pirate’s dish of Haggis.
Haggis is made with the ground up organs of sheep. The liver, heart, and lungs of sheep all made into a sausage in a sheep’s stomach.
Here is my favorite Immortal Pirate as a Highlander and eating Haggis at the Phoenix Highlander Games.

    I like haggis.
I’ve had some culinary dishes that some people would find rather strange…
    Rat-on-a-stick
    Dog is a fine meal
    Monkey brains
Live eel in saki, which is on a par with swallowing a live gold fish..it wiggles all the way down.
Armadillo and rattle snake meat in Texas chili.

also: chocolate covered ants, fried earthworms, raw white grubs, sauteed snails, and toasted grasshoppers. It’s amazing what you will eat when you’re hungry enough to ignore the obvious…

Living in a cabin in the hills of West Virginia for about 6 months, the men would go hunting for our meat. They would bring me a skinned and cleaned critter and say, “Here, cook this up.” I am sure I have cooked and ate skunk, racoon, squirrels, rabbits, the neighbor’s cat, and Beagles, when they wanted to get rid of the dogs and killed them. I think the racoon meat gave me worms.

I have had alligator meat in the Louisiana swamp land.

One of my stepsons shot a big Brown Bear, when it had the whole family up a few trees screaming. After the Forest Ranger checked it out, the dead bear was taken to a ranch to be skinned, cleaned and cooked. The bear meat was gamey.

I have skinned and chopped rattle snake. It was still moving as it cooked. It had a taste much like chicken.

Both thai and Indian cuisines are unusual for those not used to it. In a Thai restaurant ask for your food to be chop pat pat for extra, extra spicy food.

I have never been the adventurous one when it comes to food, but I was with a lady who ate a brain sandwich, and to me, it was an adventure watching her eat it. My palette is less sophisticated than others!

I think my favorite frozen pizza has given me food poisoning twice.
My diet will now change drastically, so I will become a different person.

The craziest food? Uncooked food service just-add-water mashed potato pearls on cheesecake. It added a delicious crunchy layer that went perfect with the cheesecake.

    Badass.

Me? I’m not the exploring type. I settle once I find stuff that I like.
