All the cliché young, creative type, white male stimuli: driving very fast, having sex, getting drunk, doing drugs, going to big, bad cities and talking to strangers.

Strategizing or planning something. And smells. For dead, maybe regret. I don’t know.

Walking/standing in light rain. I think being in cool, not cold, weather is a close second. Dead would be just about any other time, lol.

@Yin The musical “Singing in the rain” comes to mind. (although in it he is in a virtual downpour)

@Jear77 Downpours are fine as well. Just not as soothing and more chance of sickness that I’d like to avoid. Or so, I feel like I’d get sick. Also would need a towel to dry off. It is a whole thing that can be avoided. Light rains are a good, quick feel-good moment.

music and motion make me feel alive. doesnt have to be fast. music in my kitchen, walking through the nature paths, yoga class, dancing in my living room. these things make me feel alive. listening to nature.
in the past, self inflicted illness (aka hang overs) left me feeling pretty close to being not alive. but i dont feel that way any more.

@BelleMadre would that make your life a real life musical?

@Jear77 given how much i sing to myself, and my habit of inserting little dance moves into my day, i guess my life kind of is a musical :D

Most Alive: Driving to Vegas in the summer, alone. It’s an energetic 4 hour drive through the desert.

Most Dead: Driving home from Vegas. It’s a humbling 4 hour drive through the desert.

Just waking up in the morning and hearing all the cats trying their best to wake us up, because they want morning num-nums. Then hearing Immortal Pirate next to me and snuggling up to him for a hug ——- while the frustrated cats meow and stare at us. That makes me feel alive.

Being at a Baha’i meeting and learning what we are doing in the community makes me feel alive.

Last Saturday, we went to a “Round up” of all the food trucks in the Valley of the Sun and thousands upon thousands of people just enjoyed meeting each other, standing in the hot sun and eating all kinds of food purchased off of the food trucks. I felt so alive and enjoyed the celebration. There were more than a dozen food trucks all circled around us. Immortal Pirate and I looked for bison burgers, or bison hot dogs. We did not find any, so we settled on sushi bowls. It sounded yummy at the time.

Which brings me to the second part of the question. Eating raw sushi from a hot truck in the sun ….. What part of that was a smart idea??? The raw fish and ginger sauce left a strange taste in our mouths and that made me think of how I am just human and I could die from bad food choices.
